After the sad demise of Ajith Kumar’s mother Mohini Mani on May 30, tributes poured in from the Tamil film industry.
Several celebrities from the film fraternity expressed their condolences to the grieving actor and visited his residence in Chennai. Among those who visited Ajith’s residence were Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and actor Trisha Krishnan.
Several videos of Vijay and Trisha arriving at Ajith’s residence went viral.
In the video, Vijay can be seen getting out of his car and hugging Ajith at the entrance of his house. The actor turned politician is accompanied by Trisha who is seen wearing an all black salwar suit.
While it is not certain whether the two arrived at the same time, some videos show Vijay and Trisha getting out of different cars, hinting that Trisha may have arrived even minutes before Vijay.
After sharing a hug with Ajith and expressing their condolences, both Vijay and Trisha were seen going inside the residence.

Vijay’s tribute to Ajith Kumar’s mother
Taking for X, Vijay expressed his grief and offered condolences to Ajith.
He wrote, “I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Mrs. Mohini Ammaiyar, mother of my dear friend Mr. Ajith Kumar. I pray that her soul may rest in peace at the divine feet of God.”
He added, “I convey my deepest condolences to my friend Mr. Ajith Kumar, who is grieving the loss of his mother, who was a pillar of support and embrace at all stages of life, and to his family members.”

Mohini passed away at the age of 89 due to age-related illness after several days of hospitalization.
