The city says Community Safety Peace Officers are out every night doing noise readings in nearby residential areas.
Badlands Music Festival organizers were ticketed Sunday night for exceeding the maximum permitted decibel limit.
However, the city said noise readings from the Cowboys Music Festival have so far been below their allowable limit, as outlined in the Noise Exemption Permit.
Last year, the city said it received 225 noise complaints throughout the mess, with the Cowboys being the subject of 125 of those complaints.
The large number of complaints prompted the city council to make some changes to the city’s noise bylaw, including lowering permissible noise levels.
