Liberals eye ban on social media for minors in internet safety plan


The last bill the Trudeau government introduced, the Internet Damages Act, known as Bill C-63, died in Parliament. It had proposed creating a new regulator and requiring social media companies to submit security plans outlining the steps they were taking to reduce users’ exposure to seven types of harmful online content.
