After a hiatus of more than a decade and tons of fan requests, Imran Khan can finally restart his career with an origin story. Several reports suggest that Imran recently underwent a look test for the upcoming biopic on the BharatPe co-founder and former Shark Tank India judge Ashner Grover.
While the fan-favorite actor was last seen in a movie in a movie Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoosif the reports turn out to be true, this will be the first major comeback in the film industry.
A report from Noon says that the film starring Aamir Khan and Shraddha Kapoor may soon add Imran Khan to the cast.
Though it is still unclear what role Imran will be playing, but reports suggest that he will be seen in a lead role and not just in one film.
“Imran did a look test recently and the makers were quite impressed with how he fits into the world of the film. His presence definitely makes the cast interesting. His role is central to the story. It’s not a show,” a source told the media outlet.
The film, which will revolve around Ashneer Grover’s journey and the controversy that followed, is said to be directed by Shraddha’s boyfriend Rahul Mody and backed by Aamir Khan Productions. The biopic is still in pre-production.
Interestingly, the biopic will mark the directorial debut of Rahul Mody, who previously worked as a writer on Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 AND Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
