An investigation into the death of the ex Emmerdale The actor Frazer Hammill has revealed that he took his own life after an arrest and police interview.
Frazer died on December 30, 2025, just hours after being arrested by Lancashire Police.
Before killing himself, he left a note for his neighbors, instructing them not to come in, but to call the police after he had killed himself.
Coroner Louise Slater concluded that the medical cause of his death was ‘hanging’. She also said that, due to the presence of a note: “I am satisfied that this was a deliberate act and that Frazer had put thought, planning and purpose into his actions.”
