The following article contains spoilers from the May 18 episode of Emmerdale. It has not yet aired on ITV1 but can be seen on ITVX and to YouTube.
A discovery made by Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) has stopped her plan to leave Emmerdale village.
A few days ago, Caitlin learned that she had inherited her late father’s house. However, she did not have enough money to do this, and began to blackmail Dingle Charity (Emma Atkins) to provide more.
Doctor Todd told Charity to give him £10,000, or she would tell him Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Factory) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) that baby Leyla is not really there baby. Charity could only scrape together £5,000 and tried to threaten Caitlin so she doesn’t bother him for the other half.
This worked for all of five minutes, but hey, at least she tried.
Just before he left, Dr. Todd had lunch with him Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) in The Hide. Sitting next to them was Ryan Stocks (James Moore), who was busy being a pub manager.
Manpreet started chatting with Ryan and the conversation saw Doctor Todd revealing that Charity owns half of the Woolpack. Before this moment, Doctor Todd was under the impression that Charity just works as a counter.
After being lied to, Caitlin tells Charity that she will now gets £100,000 to keep her secret quiet.
The evil woman enjoyed reminding Charity that she owes her money in today’s episode. As they argued, Sarah came over and wondered why they were talking about money. Fortunately, Charity covered for her and said that she had accidentally damaged Dr. Todd’s car.
In her bid to secure some quick cash, Charity tries to encourage Caleb and Ruby Milligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly) to buy the pub. Caleb knew Charity wouldn’t suddenly want to sell unless she was in trouble, but she refused to reveal what was bothering her.
Despite this, Caleb told Charity that he would always be there to help her. This conversation was witnessed by Doctor Todd, who then decided to dive into another new level of reminding Charity that she is not in charge here.
At Jacobs Fold, Charity came down the stairs and was horrified to find Dr. Todd in her house, holding baby Leyla.

She made a comment about how you shouldn’t leave newborn babies alone because anything could happen, and at that point Charity really had no idea what Caitlin was going to do next.
Who will take down Doctor Todd?
Baby Leyla was handed to Charity. It’s hard to say if Doctor Todd was actually going to do anything with the kid, but it was a very good way for him to convey the message “you can’t beat me in this battle”.
Doctor Todd has given Charity a week to get the rest of the money. On such short notice, Charity will be back to Kim Tate (Claire King) and asks to buy her stake in the pub – but what if Kim says no?
She won’t accept the deal without getting curious and wondering why Charity wants out.
Will Kim make this situation worse by saying no to Charity’s offer?
