New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Sunday once again extended the deadline for students seeking scanned copies of their graded answer books for the Class 12 board exams, with the last date now revised to May 25 midnight.
The CBSE had earlier extended the deadline from May 22 to May 23, then to May 24, and has now extended it further to May 25 midnight amid complaints from students about difficulties in accessing scanned copies of answer books through the portal.
“Continuing to the circular dated 22.05.2026, as well as to give sufficient time to the students for submission of requests for obtaining scanned copies of their graded answer books, the last date has been further postponed,” the Board’s circular said.
The board advised candidates to make use of the extended deadline and submit their applications accordingly, while clarifying that “all other terms and conditions of the facility remain unchanged”.
“It is said that the date of the start of accepting applications for revaluation will be communicated soon”, the circular says.
CBSE had earlier started the process for revaluation and verification of answer sheets following concerns raised by some students and parents over the on-screen marking system.
Earlier today, the Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan spoke to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and sought her ministry’s support to overhaul the CBSE payment gateway system, officials said.
During the discussion, it was decided that four public sector banks (PSBs) — State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Indian Bank — will assist CBSE in strengthening the payment gateway infrastructure and necessary integration with the post-examination portal, the education ministry said in a statement.
Pradhan has also directed deputation teams of professors and technical experts from IIT-Madras and IIT-Kanpur to look into all technical issues reported since the introduction of this year’s revaluation services and assist CBSE in ensuring a smooth process, the ministry said.
Pradhan has sought a detailed report from the CBSE on complaints of technical glitches faced by students and parents during the revaluation process, a source said on Saturday.
“Taking serious note of the complaints raised by students and parents about technical disruptions during the CBSE revaluation process, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has sought a detailed report on the server outage, payment gateway glitches and operational errors,” the source said.
Officials have been directed to explain the reasons behind technical failures, preparedness measures and accountability of agencies involved in managing the process, they added.
