Ameesha Patel has sparked debate on social media after posting a series of wordy messages to X in which she criticized what she described as the ‘fake PR machine’ in the film industry and commented on how the star is perceived today.
Responding to the online negativity, the actor wrote:
“Never feel bad or upset with some negative YOUTUBERS who always wake up with negativity and criticism for all STARS. We as stars should feel happy for them instead of being affected. After all, speaking badly for all of us, their kitchen is working. We wish them luck.”

Most of the female actresses who have not done a single film in their career where even a single film of theirs has made even 200 kr plus at the box office are paying their PR teams to call themselves no 1 and no 2 ?for real ?today 2026 not 2000 today 100 kr is nothing.

In another post, Patel seemed to take aim at the idea of manufactured stars. She criticized what she sees as inflated self-branding in the industry, arguing that true “superstar” status should only be claimed by those with proven box office success. She suggested that some actors, especially women, are overestimating their stardom based on limited production or average-performing films, and said that simply being active on film sets does not automatically make one a star, but rather “an actor who is part of a project.” She also highlighted her filmography, referencing some of her biggest hits:
Patel also highlighted her career achievements, showing her roles in Where do you say you love me?, Bridge 1AND Bridge 2which she described as huge box office successes with strong audience participation. She claimed that these films remain among the biggest hits for her co-stars as well, and added that despite this history, she does not benefit from strong PR support compared to other actors.
Patel further shared an update on the next installment of the franchise Gadar 3, expressing confidence in its scale and potential at the box office:
Her posts come shortly after a mature style video by YouTuber Shan Prasher went viral in which he made critical comments about the actor while reacting to a recent interview.
