10 people injured after a truck and bus collided in Sau Mau Ping


10 people sustained minor injuries after a truck collided with a double-decker KMB bus on a downhill stretch in Kwun Tong.

Police said they received a report of the crash in Po Lam Road, Sau Mau Ping, at around 6.20am on Tuesday. The collision involved a light goods vehicle and a Route 600 KMB bus, which travels between Kwun Tong and Central.

The truck overturned after the collision, while the KMB bus hit a lamppost before coming to a stop, police said.

Eight passengers on the bus and the two drivers were reported to have suffered minor injuries and were taken to United Christian Hospital for treatment.

Camera views circulating online appeared to show the truck flouting traffic signals making a right turn towards Po Tat Shopping Center on Po Lam Road while the KMB bus was traveling downhill.

View from the scene showed the truck lying on its side, while the glass of the KMB bus is broken. Traffic in the area was stopped after the incident. according to in RTHK.
