President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that US forces will end operations in Iran “very soon”, evoking a two-to-three-week timeline as his administration pursues talks with Iranian authorities as it continues its air campaign.
Asked at a White House event about the impact of high fuel prices since the war began on February 28, Trump said “All I have to do is get out of Iran and we’ll do that very quickly and they’ll go down.”
“But we’re finishing the job, and I think in maybe two weeks, maybe a few days longer,” he added, US forces.
