Tehran threatens to confiscate the assets of Iranians abroad who support attacks on Iran


Iranians living abroad can have their property confiscated and face other legal penalties if they express support forUnited States AND IsraelIran’s attorney general’s office said on Monday.

Newly created Telegram channels have shared details of prominent Iranians living abroad who have posted comments critical of Iran’s clerical authorities and in support of the US-Israeli military campaign that began on February 28.

Up to 5 million Iranians live abroad, most of them in the United States and the West Europeaccording to Iranian government data. Iranian media estimates their number closer to 10 million.
