Robert Pattinson may have dropped just the strongest hint that he and Suki Waterhouse are already married.
Appearing alongside Zendaya at the premiere of their new film The Drama on Tuesday, the notoriously private actor was asked a seemingly innocuous question: what’s the biggest secret you’ve ever kept?
His answer was not straightforward.
“It’s the same one you have,” he replied, gesturing to his co-star, and immediately fueling speculation that the two stars could be quietly getting married.
“Nothing that comes to mind,” she replied with a hint of sarcasm, completely missing the implication.
Zendaya has faced a wave of secret marriage rumors Tom Holland in the last days.
Earlier this month, American actress Law Roach’s chic style caused a frenzy after she accidentally appeared to confirm that she had married Holland.
Law claimed that ‘the wedding already happened’, telling Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards, ‘You missed it.’
Insisting to a reporter that it was ‘very true’, Law remained tight-lipped on any further details but repeated the claim in another newspaper.
The couple, both aged 29, first met in 2016 while working together on the film Spider-Man: Returning home, and quickly became an article.
Although they’ve been notoriously private about their relationship in the years since – reports emerged last year that they were engaged after she wore a diamond ring on Golden Globes.
While none of them has publicly revealed whether they actually got marriedthis week Zendaya made a joke that has led some to speculate that she may have changed her last name to her husband’s.
On Saturday, the actress was promoting her new film The Dramaduring which production company A24 opened a one-day wedding chapel in Las Vegas for couples, with Haim’s Alana Haim also on hand to DJ.
During the event Zendaya made a surprise appearance to celebrate one of the couples, posing for photos with the newlyweds before signing the marriage license as a witness.
But in doing so, she cracked a joke, telling guests: ‘Surname revealed!’
Although the shared clips in social media didn’t zoom in enough to show what surname she had written on the document, some have wondered if her comment suggested she was now on her way from the Netherlands.
But Pattinson’s cryptic response on the red carpet hinting at his secret wedding comes as more of a surprise.
Pattinson and Waterhouse, who were first linked in 2018, have carefully guarded their private lives despite steadily going through major milestones.
Reports of their engagement surfaced in December 2023, followed just months later by the arrival of their first child, a daughter, in March 2024.
Since then, the question is not whether they will get married, but whether they already have.
Sorry, video not found
This speculation intensified at the beginning of 2025 when Sharon Stone casually referred to Pattinson as Waterhouse’s ‘husband’ during a public appearance at the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert.
The comment went uncorrected and neither Pattinson nor Waterhouse addressed it publicly.
A source previously told People that marriage was always on the cards: “They both want to get married. It’s important to them.”
Now, Pattinson’s latest comment feels like another piece of the puzzle that suggests wedding bells have already rung for the couple — and the world missed it.
