Patrick Truemanand (Rudolph Walker) life in EastEnders it’s been hell ever since The murder of his son, Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) on Christmas Day.
Before his violent death, Patrick and Anthony spat venom at each other over Christmas dinner after Patrick discovered that Anthony had lied cat moon (Jessie Wallace) that his and Zoe Slaterand (Michelle Ryan) twins both had died at birthin an attempt to find them on his own without Zoe finding out.
As things continued to escalate, an enraged Patrick declared that the wrong boy had died earlier and wished Antony had died instead of his brother, Paul (Gary Beadle). With things at their absolute worst, Anthony headed to the Vic for what turned out to be his final confrontation with Zoe and his daughter. Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness).
Zoe and Kat were convinced that the culprit was Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman)and that she had struck the killing blow to frame Zoe, who kept her mouth shut to protect Jasmine from the wrath of the Wicked Witch of Walford.
While Zoe languished in prison, Anthony struck up a relationship with Jasmine after discovering she was his niece, seemingly finding some light amidst all the darkness he had endured, though he was broken again when he discovered that SHE had killed Anthony.
Struggling to grieve, his beloved wife Yolanda (Angela Wynter) and surrogate girls Kim AND Denise Fox (Tameka Empson AND Diane Parish) further concerned when a well-intentioned Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) introduced Patrick in a recreation of Anthony’s AI.
Patrick was completely engrossed in the app and was reluctant to disconnect.
He managed to spill everything in an attempt to reunite a recently returned Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) with Kim, however, facilitating a lavish performance of attraction and reconciliation between the two.
Next week you see The Arrival of Sandra Goodwin (Dawn Steele)piquing Kim and Denise’s interest when they learn she was asking questions about Jasmine. Confronting her, they learn that she is adoptive mother of Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan)though as they learn more about Jasmine and Josh’s story, the three are shocked to learn that Josh has arrived in Walford.
Josh, Sandra, Denise and Kim share a drink at Albert’s, though the mention of Zoe makes Josh run away, not wanting anything to do with her. When Dennis relays this to Patrick, he is hurt again after losing the chance to bond with his grandson.
Denise and Kim encourage Patrick to write Josh a letter, detailing his life story, and later deliver it to Sandra. The Truemans are alive when Josh returns to Albert Square to arrange a meeting the following week.
