Fans are raising their eyebrows after BBC released a teaser for an upcoming episode that will air on April 13, and let’s just say, it doesn’t take much reading between the lines to figure out what’s coming next Jasmine Fisher.
The official synopsis reads: “It’s Vicki and Ross’ stag do, Jasmine starts to feel like a part of the Slaters and Bea makes a decision about her love life.”
Wait… what?
Considering Jasmine is currently on trial for murder, the idea that she casually ‘feels part of the Slaters’ almost screams one thing: she’s no longer behind bars. And if she’s not in jail, that strongly suggests she’s been acquitted.
So yeah, it looks like a major twist may have been revealed ahead of time… whether that was intentional or not. Has the BBC let slip a major spoiler, or could they be throwing us off the scent? Everything remains to be seen.
Jasmine’s storyline has been one of the soap’s most intense in recent months. The teenager, played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holnesshas been awaiting trial after admitting to killing her biological father, Anthony Trueman, on Christmas Day.
However, Jasmine has always insisted that she acted in self-defense. Most importantly, the video footage of her disappearance phone supports her version of events and now that the phone has finally been found and handed over to the police, her case is going to court.
Despite this potentially game-changing evidence, Jasmine isn’t exactly sure things will go her way.
“She knows the truth about what happened and hopes that others will believe her, but past experiences have taught her to be wary of hope,” Indeyarna revealed, hinting that Jasmine is preparing herself for the worst.
There is also concern from her lawyer, Ritchie Scott, who worries about it a statement from Anthony’s father, Patrick Trueman, can turn the matter in a negative direction. In response, she pushes cat moon to testify in Jasmine’s defense, but Kat is reluctant.
However, that hesitation doesn’t last forever. with Zoe Slater Fearing her son Josh could leave Walford if Jasmine is convicted, the pressure mounts. Kat is left torn, knowing that speaking out could either help Jasmine or risk damaging her already fragile relationship with Zoe.
All of this builds up to the big moment, the verdict. With the Slaters and Truemans on the mend, Jasmine is left with two life-changing options: freedom or a long stretch behind bars.

Except… if that BBC teaser is anything to go by, we might already know which way it goes.
Because Jasmine ‘feeling part of the Slaters’ doesn’t exactly ring a bell someone about to spend a long time behind bars do you do it?
Of course, soaps love a misdirection, so there’s always a chance there’s more to this than meets the eye. But if this is indeed a mistake, then it looks like Jasmine is set to walk free, proven innocent and finally able to rebuild her life in Walford.
Whether the BBC wanted to give it away or not… the fans definitely noticed.
