The Driscoll family is on the verge of complete collapse Coronation Street next week.

Ben (Aaron McCusker) completely shocked when he crushes mom Maggie (Pauline McLynn) for clarity in her recent behavior, but is completely unprepared for the revelation she makes. Declaring that she wants nothing more to do with him, can things ever be patched up between mother and son?

Sam Blakemanand (Jude Riordan) psychological torture at the hands of Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) has left him deeply wounded, and with all the support of his father Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and stepchildren Leanne AND Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson AND Georgia Taylor), he is convinced that Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) is still terrorizing him. Clearly scarred by his experiences with Megan, how bad is the damage she has done to Sam?

Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is finally released, and her reappearance on the streets is uncharacteristically celebrated by her son Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard). Although peace is apparently brokered between Carl’s husband and Debbie, Ronnie Bailey (Morgan won), does Carl really have his ailing mother’s best interest at heart?

Elsewhere, desperate to escape Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) from Theo Silvertonand (James Cartwright) abuse, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) calls Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson)but will she make everything worse?

With an extra offering of Weatherfield action next week, we’ve got plenty to soak up. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Sunday, April 5

As Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) celebrates Debbie’s release, his joy turns to fear when Ronnie calls him, panicking that she’s gone. Carl finds her on the swing and seems overjoyed to see that she’s freed.

The tension is palpable at The Rover’s with Maggie facing the fury of Ben and Will. As Ben begins to suffer a spell, a desperate Maggie tries to call an ambulance, but he demands the truth, leading her to reveal that he was the result of a one-night stand: Alan is not his father. While she stops short of revealing that Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) is his birth father, her reaction to Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) and Amy (Elle Mulvaney) being left alone at #1 betrays her.

As Leanne and Toyah clash over counseling Sam, he gets an apology from Will, though it doesn’t do much to resolve it.

Despite Toyah’s advice to forget about Megan, Sam is still filled with anxiety and turns to Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) for support. As Will approaches and Hope throws cruel barbs his way, Sam shrinks back.

Ronnie is upset to learn that Carl has asked Debbie for £10,000 to pay Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer) and that she has agreed on the condition that he works for her to pay it back. Furious, Ronnie decides to talk to Fiona himself.

Elsewhere, Jodie Ramsay (Olivia Frances-Brown) pulls in a sickie to spend a day on the sofa with David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Ben struggles to cope with Maggie’s revelation. Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) hints to Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) that Debbie was not responsible for the death of Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Tim Metcalfe (Tim Duttine) backs off when Sally (Sally Dynevor) pushes him for Trisha Booth (A).

Tuesday, April 7

Sam confronts Will about his scare campaign, sending him home to complain to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley). A confrontation breaks out as she storms off to the bistro and lets Nick, Toyah and Leanne loose.

Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) watches, deeply concerned, as Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) hold a meeting with some potential clients in Chariot Square and Debbie, while serving champagne, makes some incredibly incredulous comments.

Meanwhile, Ben kicks Maggie out of his life, Tim goes to Freshco to confront Trisha, Jodie and David Bond when he discovers he stole Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) shiny new wheelie bin.

Wednesday, April 8

Debbie is completely taken aback when Summer arrives at Carriage Square and asks if Carl was driving the night of Billy’s death. Desperate to put some space between her and Summer, Debbie grabs two plates from Ryan, burning her hands.

Sam spots Megan and Will in the area and darts home to tell Nick, Toyah and Leanne. They relay the information to Eve, but Will swears he hasn’t left the house all morning. Sam is consumed by paranoia and anxiety, retreating to the house and curling up on the couch.

Also, Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa celebrate Lisa’s divorce, leaving Connie with Jodie, while Tim confides in Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) that he has no idea what to say to Trisha if he ever found her.

Thursday, April 9

Debbie is not surprised to learn that her condition has worsened from her latest scan results, while Ronnie confronts Carl in the cafe about his lack of concern for his mother.

Karl reports the incident to Deb at the hotel and they are both surprised when Ronnie arrives, full of apologies and wanting to make a fresh start with Karl.

At Nick’s suggestion, an extremely worried Sam agrees to a pizza night with Will, though he later thinks he sees Will and hears him say that no one would care if Sam lived or died.

Elsewhere, a panicked Sarah looks for Todd, who is no longer responding to George’s texts, but they are interrupted when Theo returns. Jodie tells Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) that she has bombed Mal Roper’s (Tim Treloar) website, hoping to get revenge on Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).

Friday, April 10

A horrified Sarah calls Daniela, Theo’s ex-wife, and questions her about Theo’s violence and abuse of Todd. However, her interrogation is interrupted when Todd and Theo discover them in the cafe.

Later, however, a triumphant Theo announces that his contract is up and they will be moving to Belfast on Monday.

Ronnie is surprised to find Carl teaching a delighted Debbie how to dance after she says she would like to take lessons. Back on the road, though, Carl tells Summer that if she wants to find Billy’s killer, she needs to stop chasing him and look closer to home.

Also, Gemma reveals Jodie’s scheme to Bernie when Roy Cropper (David Neilson) tells her that Mal is going back to Inverness and Nick arranges a game of chess between Sam and Roy.
