Maharashtra Legislative Assembly adjourned due to heavy rains


Mumbai: The monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in mumbai was postponed to Monday due to heavy rains and weather conditions.

Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the prime minister Devendra Fadnavis called on the citizens to stay indoors in the conditions of the weather forecast and the current situation.

The IMD has issued a ‘red’ alert for Mumbai and the neighboring districts of Thane, Palghar and Raigad.

Fadnavis informed the House that 350 trees were uprooted in Mumbai in the last 24 hours.

“The government will give a detailed response to the opposition’s demand for a thorough investigation into rain-related incidents and deaths in the state,” he said.
