Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has advised passengers to use only the dynamic QR codes displayed on the electronic ticket machines (ETMs) while making UPI payments on its buses.
BMTC said it has introduced new generation ETMs supplied by Chalo. The machines feature dynamic QR code-based payment technology, UPI, ensuring that each digital payment is linked to the specific ticket transaction generated by the machine.
The corporation has issued the following guidelines for passengers making UPI payments:
Only scan the dynamic QR code displayed on the ETM screen at the time of ticket issuance.
Do not scan old or static QR code stickers displayed inside the bus.
Do not make payments for the operator’s personal QR code or any other QR code.
Verify the charge displayed on the ETM before confirming the payment through your UPI app.
Collect your ticket only after the payment has been successfully completed.
