Tehran, Iran: The US Central Command (CentCom) has convened an important regional security conference in Bahrain, bringing together military leaders from 12 countries, including unprecedented participation from Syria and Lebanon.
The high-level summit, hosted by the Bahrain Defense Force, was aimed at strengthening the Middle East’s unified air defense umbrella and securing vital shipping lanes.

However, the US-led initiative immediately drew sharp condemnation from Tehran, exposing deep geopolitical lines over who should control the volatile region.
Responding strongly to the military meeting in Manama, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi firmly rejected the notion that Western intervention brings stability to the Middle East.
