CAIRO: Qatar said on Sunday that six people have been confirmed dead in a Qatari helicopter crash in the Persian Gulf country’s territorial waters.
The Interior Ministry said one person is still missing from the accident, which happened a day earlier.
The Ministry of Defense blamed “technical malfunction” for the helicopter crash.
The Interior Ministry statement did not clarify the nationality of the dead or whether they were civilians or military.
