Few people in EastEnders are scarier right now than the non-nerve addicts Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona). Fortunately, Phil Mitchell is one of them.
I am very disappointed in Phil.
Since the beginning of this year, the bonkers bunny-boiler has been worm its way on her way toBilly Mitchelland (Perry Fenwick) home, thanks to the constant manipulation of Billy’s sweet but homely wife Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton).
Why hasn’t Phil marched across the square to call out Fatal Attraction’s crazy act?
Where was Phil when Bea sabotaged Bill’s degree in revenge for her eviction, which led to Honey being seriously injured?
Where was Phil when Bea applied for a credit card in Honey’s name AND ran up a mountain of debt?
Where was Phil when Bea trashed McClunky’s and lied about being attackedonly to inflame Will (Freddie Phillips) in guilting Honey and Billy into letting her stay at home? Where was Phil?
Well… watch out for his old friend Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), after finally losing his heartbreaking battle with dementiaof course. And of course, dealing with the return of his brother Grant (Ross Kemp) and the chaos he brings to Mitchell’s door.
Okay, so maybe we can give Phil a pass.
However, Big P lives his life by one cardinal rule – don’t mess with the Mitchells (unless you’re a Mitchell). Billy may be nothing more than his second cousin in Phil’s eyes, but he’s still family. Be afraid, Bea. Be very afraid.
However, Billy has done a pretty good job of kicking his missus’ crazy boyfriend himself in the end, as he refused to let Bea back inside even though Honey needed major surgery.

Walford’s Single White Female isn’t done with Honey yet, though.
Yesterday’s trip to the Square saw Bea use a recording of Billy’s voice to create a fake dating profile of him – hoping to call him out for cheating.
Honey is too nice and sweet not to be taken by Bea, so Billy will find himself in a tough spot. Bea is an arch manipulator, a delusional fantasist who can trick anyone into swallowing her strange narrative.
However, Phil Mitchell has a resume that makes him look like a scout.
We’re talking about a man with a history of arson, abuse and attempted murder of Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), among other things. He may have mellowed (a bit) since those days, but he’s still a force to be reckoned with.
So, needless to say, when the Incredible Sulk gets involved in the Bea situation for his cousin Billy, EastEnders fans will be punching the air. In future episodes, Mister Potato Head himself rolls up his sleeves and promises to ‘deal with Bea’ for Billy. Eep.
It’s tense between Honey and Billy after their failed date, but elsewhere, Bea is upset that no one in Walford has remembered her birthday. Do not leave it anywhere near candles…
Late, she misreads a situation at The Vic when she assumes Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) birthday surprise for Lily (Lillia Turner) is for her. Bea runs off to the cafe with the charming Honey in tow. But when Honey asks him not to tell Billy that they have been seen. Bea takes her opportunity to paint Bill as controlling. Suddenly, Billy stumbles upon the couple and with Bea’s words on her mind, Honey is determined to see who she likes.
Phil spies on a worried Billy and after discovering his predicament with Bea, he decides to take matters into his own hands and give Bea what she wants most – money. Big P hands Bea an envelope of money to leave Walford. Will it work?
Not likely. Later at The Vic, Bea exposes Billy and Phil’s antics, but just as Billy is about to win Honey’s round, Bea spins the mother of all lies – Billy tried to sleep with her!
Honey and the viewers are stunned as Billy protests his innocence. Honey runs off with Billy and Bea in tow, and the trio argue again in No.18 before Honey asks them all to leave.
Billy goes to see Phil, who insists he’ll sort it out.
