Trudeau’s worst reported number was a 2024 trip to Italy that incurred $43,000 in in-flight food expenses. But during a trip in 2025, also in Italy, the Carney government managed to suffer $94,000 in in-flight catering charges. The RCAF Airbus 330 aircraft used for the trip would have been in the air for around 16 hours, meaning the flight managed to consume an average of $6,000 in food and drink for every hour it took to cross the Atlantic.
