JAGATSINGHPUR; A junior revenue assistant of the zilla parishad office in Jagatsinghpur was arrested on Sunday for allegedly installing a spy camera in the women’s washroom of the office.
Junior revenue assistant Sanjay Adhek was suspended by collector J Sonal on Saturday and detained by the police. The police revealed that he had allegedly purchased the spy camera through an online platform and secretly installed it inside the ladies’ bathroom to capture the private activities of the women employees.
Investigators further discovered that the device was linked to his cellphone through the V380 surveillance app, enabling remote access and monitoring. Evidence also showed that footage could be accessed through online platforms.
Based on digital, documentary, circumstantial and technical evidence collected, the accused was arrested on Sunday. During questioning, some details about the purchase and installation of the device came to light.
