Coronation Street Beth Nixon has decided to leave ITV soap later this year.

The actress, who is 26 years old, arrived as Megan Walsh towards the end of 2025. It was introduced as Will Driscoll’s (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) sports coach, but it was eventually confirmed that this role was to cover up something very sinister.

Viewers discovered this Megan was sexually abusing Willand manipulating her into thinking they were in a relationship. The ordeal went unnoticed for months, but a young Weatherfield resident eventually discovered what was going on between them.

Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) had found a sports ball among Megan’s belongings. She claimed it belonged to her Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), but Sam knew that wasn’t true. Convinced that Megan was abusing Will, he vowed to expose her, but it became nearly impossible due to the terrible tactics Megan employed to keep Sam quiet.

Semitic mental health was severely affected as a result of Megan’s manipulation. His stress levels got so bad, he collapsed on the cobblestones and was rushed to the hospital.

He said Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) about who Megan really was, causing the Driscoll family to learn the truth as well.

Megan was not immediately charged due to the fact that the police could not find any physical evidence to prove that anything had happened between her and Will and because the teenager was also in denial.

However, things changed a few weeks ago when Will had a powerful conversation with her Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine). The local taxi driver told Will that he was sexually was abused by an older woman when she was 14, and the shared experience prompted Will to report Megan.

With Megan being one villain of the show, she was always going to have a lifespan.

According to the sun, Actress Beth will soon shoot her final scenes, which will air later this year.

Metro has contacted Coronation Street for a comment.

The show’s producer Kate Brooks recently spoke about the storyline, saying that Megan will definitely face some consequences for her actions.

She explained: ‘Of course, there is Soap gods, and as in the soap god law, there will be some kind of punishment for Megan. She can’t leave this skate. We will go down the proper channels. I can’t say whether it will go ahead as planned or not, but it goes a long way.’

“It’s showing that Megan’s actions have not only directly affected Will and the Driscolls, but collateral damage to Sam. People’s trust has been absolutely dismantled because of this woman’s constant lying,” Kate said of the lingering effects of Megan’s reign of terror.

Speaking about the future of the Driscoll clan, Kate added: “It’s about the family falling apart but then somehow rebuilding themselves as they desperately try to repair the damage Megan has done.

“Will is going to be very badly affected by what he’s been through with Megan. It gets a little dark.’
