Delivering the keynote speech at the European Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Children, European Commission President von der Leyen pointed out that “Many young people, when you listen to them, talk passionately about how technology gives them a sense of belonging.” But, she added, “The more they’re exposed to the digital world, the greater the risks. Likes, shares, retweets, links, etc.—social media validations are increasingly dictating how they think and feel.”
