Amidst all the glamor and being it brings Coronation Street, Eva Priceand (Catherine Tyldesley) defining characteristic is her fierce loyalty to her family, and it seems that her daughter Susie Price (Aurora Bradshaw) has inherited that trait… along with a hearty helping of sass.

The Driscoll family have been plunged into terrifying hell ever since they arrived in Weatherfield to take control of the Rovers Return. Ben (Aaron McCusker) has discovered that the man he always thought was his father is not with him in fact as a result of his mother, Maggieand (Pauline McLynn) relationship with Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson)something he only revealed when Maggie was afraid of it Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) will sleeps with his cousin, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).

In addition to learning who his real father is, he also learned that he may have inherited the heart disease that killed him. In addition, the explosive revelation that his youngest son, WILL (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), has been groomed and sexually abused from his pedophile sports coach, Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) has shocked the clan.

Megan’s care goes back a long time, and another victim or her manipulation is Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), Eva’s sister’s stepfather,Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). Megan tortured and tortured him so sadistically that he is now suffering serious mental health problems. Despite him telling the family what Megan had done, Will’s silence and lack of physical evidence meant there was little the police could do.

With so many of her loved ones affected by Megan, Eva joined Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) to force a confession from her but at the end of the day, Megan’s utter refusal to accept anything and iron-clad determination meant that no amount of intimidation could break her.

When all seemed lost, with Will still deeply under Megan’s control, there was an unlikely intervention from Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) that finally saw him realize how badly he had been manipulated and, ultimately, abused.

While Will tried to get to the airport in Tim’s taxi, where he planned to go flee the country with Megan, Ben and Eva discovered that he had taken his passport and quickly cottoned on to what was going on. Contacting Tim and making sure he didn’t let Will out of his sight, Tim decided to open about his experience of abuse Trisha Pinkerton (Anita Booth) as one minor boy with a grown woman.

While Tim had previously referred to the relationship as ‘things are different’ at the time, the revelation of Will’s abuse has caused him to reframe his views. First of all, I disagree Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) that he had been abused, Tim now saw the interaction for what it really was.

Taking Will to the police station, Tim gave him the option to run or report Megan, and it became clear that his words had struck something deep inside Will as he headed to the station, reuniting with his family and finally making a official police statementdetailing only what Megan had done to him.

Of course, that’s not the end, though, and as Will tries to adjust in the aftermath, the family, also bruised by the whole ordeal, continues to face drama and adversity.

In our spoiler clip, Eva drags Susie home from school and reports to Ben that she threw a bottle of pop in Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winterand (Dolly-Rose Campbell) son, head of Bryn (James Holt).

With her hand on her hip and spoken like a true queen, Susie reaffirms to her stepfather that she’s a ‘good shot’. As they question why she threw the bottle, Susie admits that Bryn had talked about Will and Megan ‘doing things’. Asking Ben and Eve if it’s true, they are saved by Chesney and Gemma walking in, demanding a word.

It seems that despite Megan being arrested, she continues to cause trouble for the Driscoll clan, affecting even the youngest member. Can they ever escape the hellish world that has drawn Megan into them?
