Latvia’s prime minister resigns over missing Ukraine drones

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina said at a press conference on Thursday that she had resigned over her government’s handling of Ukrainian drones that flew into Latvian territory during attacks in Russia.

The left-wing Progressive Party withdrew its support for Silina’s coalition after it fired party member Andris Spruds on Sunday, saying Latvia’s anti-drone systems had not been deployed quickly enough to counter the May 7 incursions.
