Canada doesn’t have the ‘luxury to be slow’ on energy: IEA chief


Typically, countries purchase energy based on price. But after the Iran war, “there will be an energy security risk premium,” Fatih Birol, the IEA’s executive director, said at a policy conference in Toronto on Thursday. As a result, “the most important asset or card that Canada has today is trust.”
