King Charles AND Queen Camilla landed in US on Monday for him state historical visit – and it looks like the Queen and First Lady have been like a house on fire.

The trip – the first since President George W. Bush hosted the deceased Queen Elizabeth in 2007 — coincides with the 250th anniversary of US independence from Britain and aims to celebrate the relationship between the two countries. Which, as we know, has recently felt tense because of the transatlantic divide over Ukraine and Ukraine Middle East.

But so far, it seems that the relationship between President Trump and the monarch has been quite positive.

During a state dinner, Trump described the UK-US relationship as “a friendship unlike any other on Earth”, while Charles “He prayed with all his heart that our alliance will continue to protect our shared values.”

However, it’s not just men who seem to be making headway. Queen Camilla and First Lady Melania Trump also shared a humorous interaction on Tuesday as the royals arrived at The White House to be greeted by the President.

According to forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling, the Queen sat next to Melania on the South Lawn for their ceremonial reception. The weather had taken a turn for the worse earlier in the day – Trump later joked kingly had brought the British weather with it – but luckily the rain cleared for the official event.

However, as she sat down, the Queen reportedly commented that it was still ‘quite wet’. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Nicola said Melania agreed, replying: “Of course it is.”

After the two shared a laugh, the lip reader revealed that Camilla then added: “We’re going to have wet bottoms.”

The British phrase and baking term, which is used a lot on the Great British Bake Off to describe an undercooked, soggy or doughy crust, is said to drive Melania crazy.

Nicola claimed she asked: “Wet bottom?” to which they both burst into smiles again.

Elsewhere on the state visit, King Charles attended a closed-door meeting inside the Oval Office of the White House. The monarch was joined by senior British and American officials, including the UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance.

The royal couple also joined Trump for afternoon tea at the White House and attended a garden party at the British embassy.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit also comes a few days after shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturdaywhere a Secret Service agent was shot but not seriously injured.

31 years old Cole Thomas Allen BY California has since been accused of attempting to assassinate the President.

Allen was also charged with two firearms offenses when he appeared in court in Washington DC on Monday. He did not enter into a prayer. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
