Israel has committed violations of a ceasefire in Lebanon that took effect at midnight, including intermittent shelling of several southern Lebanese villages, the Lebanese army said early Friday.
In a statement, the military called on citizens to stop returning to southern villages and towns. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
