On Tuesday 10 March, MPs will debate the Courts and Tribunals Bill, in what could be the biggest shake-up of the justice system since the 1970s.
To tackle the backlog of more than 80,000 cases at the Crown Court, the government has put forward proposals to fundamentally reform which cases are heard, including limiting the right to a jury trial in all but the most serious cases.
