The Mayor of London welcomed last minute truce announced between the US and Iran on Tuesday evening, and supported Sir Keir Starmer’s refusal to approve attacks carried out by the US and Israel.

Speaking of subway during a visit to a youth center where he announced a £30m investment in youth clubs in the capital, Khan – who has an ambivalent relationship with the US President – criticized Trump’s Social Truth message. claiming “an entire civilization will die tonight” if they did not reopen the strait.
“It was a grotesque form of words,” he said. He gives aid and clover to people on the margins.
“We’re talking about the leader of the free world. Anyone who knows anything about history knows that Iran is the cradle of civilization.’

“If anyone can get to Trump, the King can,” Khan said. “The special relationship is a good thing for me opinion.
“It may be good advice from the King (that Trump does not follow through on threats).

The president has promised them “a lovely banquet dinner” and revealed the “historic state visit” will take place over four days from April 27-30 – despite Buckingham Palace choosing not to release the exact dates in its official announcement.
“I’m looking forward to spending time with the King, who I respect a lot. It’s going to be awesome!” Trump added.
Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey earlier condemned the decision to go ahead with the trip and accused Sir Keir of showing a ‘staggering lack of backbone’ as Trump treated the UK with contempt.
