Game Inbox: How important is story in GTA 6?

Where to start
Now it’s July, but it seems like forever ago GTA 6 it will come out, even though it is not more than four months now. This whole thing is going to be so massive that it’s going to be surreal just to sit down and play it on launch day, like a normal game.

If we knew more about it I would try to plan what I would do, but right now all I can say is what I want to do more: follow the story or go and do my thing in the open world. I’m curious to know what other readers will choose, but I think it will probably be a long time before I get the story right.

The temptation to just go off and try to get into trouble, and explore the game world, will be very tempting. I don’t see this as a negative or even against her Rockstar planned. I expect to be amazed and allowed to do exactly what I want. I don’t know if GTA 6 will live up to all the hype but I guarantee it will be a great game.

Simulation theory
i won’t lie claiming the winner of the World Cup five times in a row is very impressive for FIFA/EA Sports FC. I’d be curious to know what EA sets this up for. Do they mean it’s just luck or that their stats are so accurate that they can perfectly simulate every player exactly?

I think Spain were one of the favorites going in, but that’s not how the game knew it, it just simulated the team based on actual stats for their players, right? Either way, it’s impressive and a little creepy.

I would ask if Football manager made his predictions, but that game seems to have damaged his reputation, and in a World Cup year, too. I wonder if that means some other company will try and challenge it.

First release
I know that Xbox UNITED Hello: Campaign Evolved releases on the 28th of this month but actually comes out on Wednesday the 23rd, you just have to pay 20 quid on top of the normal price to play it afterwards.

Early access as is doesn’t bother me too much, as long as it never extends beyond the current five-day norm.

But I’m a bit tired of the release date being given when the standard edition is available. They should be done to declare the premium edition as the official release date.

It’s worth the time
I enjoyed reading it Tim Keeling Reader Feature regarding the collection and maintenance of arcade cabinets. Including this type of content keeps me reading your website. I wonder how much time and effort goes into curating and possibly editing reader submissions such as the Weekend Reader Features and Inbox letters, but for me the Daily Letters and Weekend Features are what elevate GameCentral above its rivals.

I also trust your professional reviews to the extent that I tend to use them as my primary buying guide, but it’s the frequency of reader submissions that really keeps the site interesting for me. When inviting input on any topic, as long as it is loosely related to video/computer games, the tastes and activities of other enthusiasts can sometimes be truly surprising.

I can compare reading GC to visiting an art gallery. Turn the next corner and you never know what you will see or what to expect.

GC: The arcade took a while as it was extremely long, but we didn’t mind as a lot of effort had gone into it, including providing pictures.

The question of prices
Just read yours little in the GAME. It has nothing to do with the UK leaving the EU, that was six years ago since we left and as for the new consoles, as GC said, Switch 2 came out And as for those who say it is Sony putting an end to physical games, this is two years in the future.

The reason why GAME failed was the prices and the platform stores, but mainly the prices. I’ve always bought physical games apart from the odd game here and there but the prices were a joke on the PlayStation 4. They were charging £75 for a game which you can buy on Amazon and Tesco £25 cheaper.

And their reason was that they paid the franchise for free DLC with them, which was Nuketown. They thought players would pay an extra £25 for four Nuketowns, which would be free-for-all after 30 days. The prices were too high and no Gen Z gamer could be bothered to get up and go to the game store.

The great ape
That was nice retrospective on Donkey Kong Bananza on monday. For me it’s an incredibly fun and creative achievement that gave me over 70 hours of some of the most joyous, cathartic and moving gameplay I’ve experienced in my 37 years as a gamer.

I revisited the game last week on the eve of its first anniversary and was delighted by how effortlessly it still made me smile and immerse myself in its layered playgrounds.

I also continue to be impressed by how technically ambitious the destruction physics are. Creating tunnels and leveling carefully constructed levels is inherently enjoyable. The game is an extremely successful deconstruction of 3D platforming in general, in my opinion.

The quality of the gameplay is such that I honestly didn’t mind that a new 3D Mario wasn’t present in Switch 2’s first year, because the core of Bananza’s game design was exactly the kind of dynamic, playful and original thinking and execution that I’ve come to expect from Nintendo’s EAD.

Nintendo could have easily made Bananza a brand new IP if they wanted to, considering how different its structure and mechanics feel compared to past Donkey Kongs, or really, anything else made so far for that matter.

A recurring mistake, I believe, is this notion that Nintendo always rests on their laurels by not bothering to create new IPs. But how many new IPs from other developers actually introduce a single new idea to call their own? Very little of what I came to learn.

Personally, I’m just as excited to see where Nintendo takes the Donkey Kong Bananza IP as I am for the moustache-jumping maestro’s latest adventures!

Watch out if someone has played teller (comes free with a Netflix subscription), has had a massive free update, with new chapters, characters, updated stories, and stamps.

Although I completed 100% a few years ago, I found that my saving is now only 25%!

Digital tax
Never really entering Assassin’s Creed ago, I decided to pick up the new series Black Flag remake. And it kind of highlighted the whole Sony digital debacle.

The main menu screen shows a timeline of recent Assassin’s Creed games. Clicking on a title takes you to the PlayStation storefront to purchase said game digitally. If I wanted to complete the collection of listed games by buying the games I didn’t already own through PSN – these are Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage, Shadows and the Black Flag remake – it would cost £240.

A quick look at Amazon shows that it would only be £110 to buy these games in physical form and that’s without using any cashback sites or other discounts. I’m sure if I shopped around on other sites I could lower the price even more.

Out of interest, I also went to a website I would recommend for PC gamers called ishereanydeal.com and would cost just £58 on PC. For me that’s the point in a nutshell. Personally, I’m not against digital games per se, only when one company has a monopoly and can dictate prices and charge ridiculously high prices.

Inbox-ka too
I feel the reader’s pain over the lack of Mass Effect, but I have long accepted that there will never be another one. If I’m wrong, I’ll be ecstatic, but I’d rather be pleasantly surprised than constantly disappointed while holding out hope.

Just to let everyone know, there is now a free demo of Yoshi And The Mysterious Book. Many people, including GC, have said it’s better than it looks, so I’m curious to give it a go.
