“Crossing the border illegally is dangerous under any circumstances, but taking a baby across the frozen Niagara River in a small raft is especially reckless,” Acting Chief of Patrol Agent James D’Amato said in a press release. “This type of risk endangers not only adults, but the life of a very young child and the Border Patrol agents who risk their lives every day securing our nation’s borders.”
